The future: A Century from today

I think that there would be a lot of improved things and even new inventions in the future, a century from today. A few examples are more powered technology, faster ways of fixing different things like buildings, cars and even improved medicines and medical needs. Also transportation could be super advanced in the future. There could be doors in which they take you to another part of the universe in just one second flat or planes with increased speed  that does not hurt passengers. And probably by then, a little bit of time travel can be possible but only one day back in time. Robotic Technology can be advanced in the future as well. For example Robots can undergo sea missions and investigate sea life. Or can be sent to find very rare gems underground. Food is also another thing. Maybe a really special fertilizer can be made for the food to grow really quick in just two days. These are the very interesting things that could happen a century from now, and billions of more ways to make life easier.

Game On : Fiction Story

Game On

Scene 1 : The Beginning

It all began when Janison or Jane as his friends call him was playing his favorite video game on his computer. “Yah!” “Come on, I got to get into that tower!” the video game was the other World Towers. It was early in the morning. Jane was playing just before getting ready to go to
school. Jane was playing so hard that if you looked at him, you could probably tell that he really wanted to win this game. Suddenly he got an electrical shock from one of the buttons even though there was no wire. Jane paused his game to cool down his finger not only that but the
electric shock from the computer made his hair frizzy. He looked like Tarzan. “Phew! I guess I’m alright,it was only a little shock.” he said.

Scene 2 : Go forth

Now this part is where it really begins, when Jane comes back to the computer and unpauses the game. He presses the enter button to fire another attack at an opponent in the game, but when he does the screen goes black. “Woah” “that wasn’t supposed to happen”, but unfortunately for Jane it did. Jane funneled around with the powering buttons saying “stupid! useless thing! Just work!” but nothing seemed to work. He said
“ hmm? Maybe i just need to replug” and so he did. It worked. He replugged it but instead of the game showing up on the screen there were two words go forth. Jane didn’t know what the words meant, but he typed them in still nothing. He tried 10 times but there was no effect, then six more words appeared. They said “ you must actually say go forth.”

Scene 3 : The portal

Jane had a nervous look on his face. He didn’t know what would happen if he said go forth but still without even thinking about it, Jane said “go forth” there was a flash of light and he was falling through a portal to an alternate universe of a video game. It seemed less than a second
that Jane appeared back in his bedroom lying dazed on his bed. He was so dizzy that he was saying things like this “whaszuappinedre?” translated to: “what has happened here ?” Finally after a little while, the dizziness started to wear off on him and the moment it did his eyes fell on
his clock “OH MY GOSH I GOT TO GET TO SCHOOL!” Jane brushed his teeth, threw on some clothes, combed his hair and put some shoes on, then left for school unaware that he had just fallen through a portal to an alternate world of a video game.

Scene 4 : The visions

Jane raced outside and rode his bike to school but something weird was happening every other person riding a bike was headed straight for him he was able to dodge them, but alas one very speedy biker whammed into him “ KABAM!!! ” OWWWW” Jane fell off his bike and got a
bruised knee. Suddenly something flashed in his memory. That’s when he remembered everything. He had a vision. There were blue words in front of him that came to say “get a thousand points to win and get out of the video game realm.” He also saw a huge number that said 300 points. He realized that was from dodging the bikes. He also calculated that he needed 700 more points to get a thousand points he rode the rest of the way to school also dodging a few more bikes and gaining a few more points.

Scene 5 : “I didn’t do it!”

He had arrived at the school . Jane was ready to face the challenges that would come soon to earn points. Although, he said “ what happens if I  never make it make it to a thousand points in one day?” , but he  walked into the school and followed the way he uses to get to class, but when he got there his teachers Mrs. Dein and Mr. Grain were looking very angry for some unknown reason. “What’s wrong?” Jane asked to them and they replied “What’s wrong is that,  you flooded the bathroom!” Jane was in complete shock.  He said, “but I didn’t do it!” Both of his teachers of course didn’t believe him and said “ your detention will be soon.” Jane didn’t even say anything as he was speechless and walked to his desk. All of his friends saw the entire scene and  they had sympathy on their faces.   The day had begun.

Scene 6: Detention and another vision

A few minutes later,  Mr. Grain motioned to Jane for detention and  Jane got up from his desk and started walking out of the classroom. He noticed the sympathetic look on everyone’s face as he walked out. Jane followed Mr. grain into an empty dark classroom . Jane said “Mr. Grain, I don’t
remember using this classroom for detention” Mr.Grain just smiled. And said “this room is for the really bad kids” “ but I’m not a bad kid!” Mr. grain ignored him. He gave Jane a piece of paper and a pencil “ Write, I will not flood the bathroom as many times as you can.” Jane began to write. As soon as he finished his first line, he received a vision. He saw the number of points he had and observed that it had increased ten points up. He kept on writing lines and earned a bunch of points. Finally after what seemed like hours Mr. Grain said “stop writing and go back to class.”

Scene 7: Class

Jane walked back to class. He was already late for his first class of the day, Math. When he got there, his teacher Mrs. Dein said “Hello Jane, I hope you learned a lesson.” Jane replied,“I indeed have.” But  his mind voice said, “I still didn’t do it!” Jane went back to his desk. He had a lot to catch up on. He had a test to do and somehow thought that by doing the test will help him earn points. Gradually hour after hour ,he got by the entire day and all of his classes. Doing all of this made him earn points and even in lunch he earned points by eating  food. He now had 678 points . Just a few hundred points and he would have a thousand points. Finally after a long day he had to do one more class, PE…!

Scene 8: A Death Ball Match

Jane’s line walked into the gym. Coach Ben was waiting for them on the gym floor. Jane sat down on the floor. Coach Ben instructed to Jane and the rest of 5th grade that they would be playing a dodge ball match. When coach said that, it sounded like he had said “Death ball match,” but Jane just said to himself “ahh i must be hearing things. He couldn’t have said death ball match. Whatever that means.” Jane went into teams along with his friends, and same like that the bullies of Jane like Dennis and his friends teamed up. It was now like the nerds to the bullies. Coach Ben counted “3,2,1” and blew his whistle immediately and one of his teammates went for the ball. He threw it at an opponent. The opponent caught it and threw it at another opponent  and it went on like this. Some opponents got out, but it was still a long game. Jane’s friend Renny helped him shoot. After a lot of frenzy and exhaustion, everyone got out except two people, Jane and Dennis.

Scene 9: The Final Countdown

There were only two people in the game so there had to be a recount. Coach counted “3,2,1 the game begins!” Jane went for the ball, but Dennis got to it first. He threw the ball at Jane but missed him. Jane picked up the ball and threw it at Dennis but missed. It went on and on like this, but the two of them were unstoppable.  Finally after desperation and exhaustion, Dennis collapsed in a heap on the floor. Jane had the ball. This was his chance to get the rest of the points. He aimed the ball and threw it with all his might at Dennis. WHAMM!!!. The ball hit Dennis straight in his chest. The last word he heard was “Out!” before he saw a blinding flash of light and he was once through the dimension portals.

Scene 10:  The world Realm
Jane woke up from what seemed like hyper sleep and was feeling very drowsy. His vision  was blurry and all he could see were bright colors of blue and red. It was a few minutes until his vision cleared up. He saw that he was back in his bedroom. Then he remembered everything that had happened in  the vision. Detention, the thousand points and the rest of the things he had done. Then he looked at the computer longing to play on it, but his conscience said “Give it a break Jane. Let yourself rest” and so he did.

Let’s do Standardized tests

I think that standardized tests are the proper measuring stick for student performance. They help in getting good careers and are a good practice. An example is if I wanted a certain career then I could ask myself  “what would be the best way to know that I am ready for this career”. And that would be a standardized test because a standardized test would give students the final practice they need for their career. Standardized tests are learning tools that aid in having a good career. They also give many scholars important facts that they might want to know when they’re  getting a career. I would think that getting standardized tests would be much better than anything else because of these reasons. They give practice and preparation that can really help make a mark in a trainer’s career. With this proof I can say that standardized tests are good tests for students.

Taking a standardized test is a good influence for getting a career. I know that taking them is better than taking a regular test. This is because when a learner takes a standardized test they are more challenging than a regular test and have a much more better decision of choosing which career that learner  may go to. This is why standardized tests are great tools for teaching. Another reason standardized test are better is because they give good practice for a scholar’s career. An example is what do I have to do in my career,  what is the point of doing it, and what does it change? Standardized tests are a good tool because of the good practice they give. One last thing that is great about standardized tests is that they give very important info on a student’s career. Something that might not be shown about his career on a regular test can be shown on a standardized test which is a really good reason for taking standardized tests. Some people also recommend standardized tests more than regular tests. These kinds of people are usually teachers or principals. Now it would seem that standardized tests are more better than regular tests. So taking a standardized test is really the best thing to do. This is because they are more challenging, give the students more practice for their career, and give important info for them on their career career. And they are recommended by teachers and principals. So the next time somebody thinks of getting a test don’t make it a regular test make it a standardized test.

There are a lot of reasons for why standardized tests are so good. One thing is how it steadily increases academic performance. Every once in a while, a maker of standardized tests will try to add new ideas in the test to make it better. Things like increasing the question’s difficulty is something of an idea improvement. So most people would recommend standardized tests as a good thing. Standardized testing is not only good with practice but can also identify weak points in a student’s current curriculum. With standardized tests, a student can be helped in parts which they fail at. When the trainer takes the test, that person will know what their strengths and weaknesses are. This is a very good reason for why standardized tests are better than regular tests. Also a person should remember that standardized tests are rated better from a lot of people. So if anyone were to think that standardized tests are not a good idea, then they can be shown by other people that it is a good idea. Since there are a lot of reasons on why standardized tests are good, many scholars are more likely to realize that they are good and should be taken. So standardized tests are better because they steadily increase academic performance, can identify a students weak point, and they are rated well from many people. So when a person wants regular testing to get better at something tell them to get standardized testing.

Tests are meant to teach me something about my career. But standardized tests take teaching to the next level in a series of reasons. One reason that students should take a standardized test is because these tests can easily compare with how their score should be and can be reached if they take a standardized test. An example is if an individual took a standardized test, it could tell the student as to what can be done afterwards. This shows that standardized tests can improve academic achievement. Another reason that standardized tests are good in teaching something is because they give good techniques on how to do something in your career. If students are not good at something academic, then a standardized test can provide good techniques to help them succeed. In addition, these techniques also improve the standardized tests by allowing test creators to get a better picture of how to create them. Finally, one more reason that standardized tests are better than regular tests is because they are taken by many people. Many people take standardized tests because they know it’s good. So people who need to take a test for their career might as well take a standardized test because everyone knows standardized tests are a good teaching tool. Hence, standardized tests are better than regular tests and should be taken. They can be compared as well. For example, the student’s test score is compared with how they can do better in the standardized test. With these reasons most learners would want to take a standardized test.

Overall standardized tests are a good teaching tool and help in numerous ways. A lot of students should know that standardized tests can help them succeed in their career goals. They are a really good influence for getting a career. They can improve their academic performance and help a lot of students with their weak points. Standardized tests give loads of info to students that are going into a hard career and need help. Most people would know that taking standardized tests is a really good idea. If so many people rate standardized tests good then students should think the same way as well. The point is standardized tests are better than a regular test and therefore should be taken by learners. If standardized tests were taken many people can succeed and be happy. With these facts, opinions, and reasons shouldn’t standardized tests be taken by all students?
